K-12 Mental Health Trust Fund

The K-12 Mental Health Trust Fund was created by the General Assembly in 2021 to provide mental health support to students in primary and secondary schools in Tennessee.

The Trust was established by the Legislature with $250 million dollars and has a spendable reserve fund from which payments are made. Earnings from investments or any future contributions are applied to the reserve. As of June 30, 2024, the K-12 Mental Health Trust Fund has an estimated value of $257.4 million dollars.
