Accountant 1

Tennessee Department of Treasury | Accounting Division

Treasury is responsible for many of the financial operations of state government, including managing more than $60 billion in assets through its various investment programs. Under direct supervision, the Accountant 1 is responsible for providing accounting support to the various programs administered by the department as well as statewide cash management and investment operations.  At the present time, this position is primarily remote, with monthly required in-person meetings.

Communications Specialist - Digital Marketing and Social Media Coordinator

Driver / Examiner

Tennessee Department of Treasury | Division of Claims and Risk Management

This position is within the Division of Claims and Risk Management, Tennessee Department of Treasury. The division administers various funds and related activities including state employee workers’ compensation (WC), liability claims filed against the State, Criminal Injuries Compensation, Sexual Assault Forensic Examination reimbursement, DUI Monitoring reimbursement, and various risk management and insurance coverage activities on behalf of the State and in coordination of its agencies.




Intermediate Investments Risk and Compliance Analyst

Tennessee Department of Treasury | Investments Division

The Intermediate Investment Risk and Compliance Analyst will perform a variety of periodic and ad hoc tasks that will evidence compliance with applicable laws, investment policies, risk metric guidelines and best practices as it pertains to the Investment Division’s management activities. In addition, they will provide support to the Investments Division while working collaboratively with other Divisions in the Department of Treasury, such as Legal, Audit, Accounting and Information Systems. 




Manager 2 - Employer Reporting and Participation

Responsible for the overall operations of the TCRS Employer Reporting & Participation team, one of three teams in the Employer Reporting and Customer Service area of Financial Empowerment.  Within Employer Reporting and Customer Service, the manager coordinates with the Assist Team and the Benefit Estimates team regarding customer service for members and employers as well as TCRS guidelines.




Operations Analyst – Data & Projects

Tennessee Department of Treasury | Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System

Responsible for providing analytical support to the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System.  This may include the following:

  • Participate on system development project teams as TCRS representative for project management, development of business requirements, testing and implementation.
  • Develop process documents and procedures and provide staff training for newly implemented systems.



Operations Analyst – Financial Services

Tennessee Department of Treasury | Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System

Responsible for providing analytical support to the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System.  This may include the following:

  • Analyze Financial Services processes, including but not limited to, overpayment processing and mitigation and insurance reconciliations.
  • Monitoring of Return-to-Work program participants to ensure compliance
  • Provide support to TCRS specific projects as assigned by Management



Operations Analyst – Policy & Compliance

Tennessee Department of Treasury | Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System

The position is responsible for providing compliance support with the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System’s laws, policies, and procedures.  This may include the following:

  • Review published materials and internal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Review and research Internal Audit projects and analytics.
  • Provide support to TCRS special projects as assigned by Management.



Quality Control Analyst

Tennessee Department of Treasury

The position is responsible for auditing retirement benefit and service purchase calculations which includes verifying the data, the formula, and the monthly amount or cost. Additionally, this position assists in testing and monitoring system solutions and improvements. At the present time, this position is primarily remote, with monthly required in-person meetings. 




Quality Control Manager

Tennessee Department of Treasury

The position manages a team who perform critical activities related to processing requests for retirement benefits. Also, this position oversees the workflows and queues, ensuring that each process is worked. This team member serves as a point of contact for internal and external questions related to retirement benefit processes and responds to analytic data from other program areas. Additionally, this position assists in recommending and testing updates to the retirement processing system. 




Senior Program Compliance Analyst

Tennessee Department of Treasury | Investments Division

The Senior Program Compliance Analyst will facilitate the development and implementation of program level investment and investment-related compliance reviews through the identification, analysis and monitoring of program processes and procedures. This position will report to the Director of Investment Securities Compliance and interact with various internal and external stakeholders. For the purposes of this position “program” or “programs” is defined as but not limited to the various investment trusts, funds, endowments and plans under the Department of Treasury’s authority...




Service Counselor 1

Tennessee Department of Treasury

The position is responsible for accurately calculating retirement benefits using detailed formulas. Also, this position determines member eligibility for service purchase, recalculations, and refunds when applicable. A Service Counselor communicates effectively and professionally with members and employers. Additionally, this team member evaluates data on member records and makes any necessary corrections.
