Treasury Internship Program

About the Program

The Summer Internship Program is a 10-week paid educational and experiential learning opportunity from June 7 to August 13, 2027. The Tennessee Department of Treasury offers undergraduate and graduate students a chance to witness and participate in the operations of a state constitutional office through meaningful internships throughout the year. This is a mostly virtual internship with hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Interns are required to work on-site at our downtown Nashville office a minimum of three times during the internship, with additional travel as requested.

The Treasury Experience

During the Summer Internship program, interns complete meaningful projects during their time with Treasury, culminating in a final intern presentation showcasing their achievements at Treasury, which is shared in front of the Treasurer and department staff.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university. Recent graduates can also apply.

2. Provide your own housing accommodation.

3. Cover personal expenses related to travel, and reliable internet access.
