Criminal Injuries Compensation

If you or someone you know is an innocent victim of a violent crime committed in the State of Tennessee, the Criminal Injuries Compensation Fund may be a financial resource for you.

Cyber Incident Response Plan (CIRP)

The CIRP helps these state entities with assessing, reviewing, responding to, and recovering from the adverse effects of cyber-incidents. In addition, the CIRP ensures that the State complies with the terms and conditions of its cyber liability insurance policy necessary for reimbursement.

Electronic Monitoring Indigency Fund

Formerly known as the DUI Monitoring Fund and the Interlock Assistance Fund (IAF), the Electronic Monitoring Indigency Fund (EMIF) provides financial reimbursement to certified interlock installers for qualifying indigent participants required to have the device.

Risk Management

Through the Risk Management Fund, the State of Tennessee is self-insured for general liability, auto liability, malpractice, and workers’ compensation.

SAFE Program (for Medical Professionals)

The Fund provides reimbursement to a facility that performs sexual assault forensic exams on victims of certain sexually oriented crimes. Facilities must bill the Fund, not the victim, and cannot seek any additional payment from the victim after payment by the Fund.

Teacher's Excess Liability Coverage

Our educators and aspiring educators deserve the peace of mind in knowing they are protected from lawsuits resulting from simply performing the work they were assigned to do. As part of a more than a $100 million budget initiative to support Tennessee teachers and in response to feedback from educators throughout the state, the 110th General Assembly adopted the Educator Protection Act of 2015, which created the Tennessee Teacher’s Liability Fund.

TORT Liability

TORT is defined as a wrongful act other than a breach of contract for which relief may be obtained in the form of damages or an injunction. If a person has been allegedly damaged by the State, they may be eligible for compensation for their loss or damage.
