The Tennessee Department of Treasury is encouraging Tennesseans to check ClaimItTN.gov for missing money after businesses and organizations across the state turned over an additional $248.6 million in unclaimed property so far since July 1, 2025.

The Tennessee Department of Treasury, Unclaimed Property Division returned a record $125 million of missing cash money to the rightful owners or their heirs during fiscal year 2025. This milestone is double the $62.5 million paid out last year, and exceeds the previous record of $68.7 million by more than 80%.

Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System finishes FY24 with 10.06% investment return

The Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System wrapped up the 2024 fiscal year with a 10.06% investment return, well exceeding the plan’s 6.75% assumed rate of return.
The annual earnings represent over $6.2 billion in new investment income added to the portfolio in a single year. The TCRS portfolio value stood at $69.4 billion, as of June 30, 2024.
