Nashville, TN - I want to thank the 113th Tennessee General Assembly and the people of Tennessee for allowing me to serve two more years as your State Treasurer. It is a great honor to be your Treasurer and have this opportunity to improve the per capita income, and the standard and quality of life for Tennesseans throughout our great State.

I also am greatly honored in our staff in the Tennessee Treasury Department. On any given day, our department has over $100 billion in public funds under its oversight and management. Treasury has earned over $20 billion during my years as Treasurer, money that has been used by our General Assembly to reduce taxes in our state and make life better for all Tennesseans.

Our department is made up of men and women who are professionals in their various fields and do a great job of serving people in a wide variety of areas. From the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, the state’s 401K and 457 plans, and adjudicating claims filed against the State of Tennessee, to the Criminal injuries Compensation Fund and the TNStars College Savings Plan, we have a broad breadth of things that we do that benefit Tennesseans in every walk of life.

It has been a great honor to be your Treasurer, and I look forward to doing so for the next two years.
