This position is within the Division of Claims and Risk Management, Tennessee Department of Treasury. The division administers various funds and related activities including state employee workers’ compensation (WC), liability claims filed against the State, Criminal Injuries Compensation, Sexual Assault Forensic Examination reimbursement, DUI Monitoring reimbursement, and various risk management and insurance coverage activities on behalf of the State and in coordination of its agencies.

Under the general supervision of the Information Systems Infrastructure Manager, the End Point Technician is responsible for the deployment and maintenance of workstation computers, desktop operating systems, desktop application software, network file servers, and network devices. The End Point Technician participates in the evaluation of workstation hardware and software technologies. The focus and emphasis of this position is supporting departmental end point devices.

This position is responsible for calculating retirement estimates for a defined benefit for TCRS members and providing customer service for TCRS members. At the present time, this position is primarily remote, with occasional required in-person meetings. It is anticipated that the department will regularly utilize its downtown Nashville office on a hybrid schedule in the future. Job location is subject to change at the discretion of the Department. Under general supervision, is responsible for applications computer programming work of all complexity levels, computer systems design work of considerable difficulty, the coordination of development team standards and processes, and performs related work as required.

The Sr. Cloud Solution Architect will be responsible for all aspects of Treasury’s cloud infrastructure.  Responsibilities will include creating a cloud strategy to include a fully elastic cloud environment that will be implemented through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and managed on a zero-trust network. The assessment of cloud hardware, software, and logs to ensure the environment is functioning properly, identifying, documenting, and leading remediation efforts as required.

The individual in this position will provide support to the Claims Manager and Assistant Director in claims functions and further the goals of the State’s worker’s compensation system in a liaison position to include interactions with injured employees and the program’s third-party administrator, as well as provide support for activities relating to risk management responsibilities of the division.
