Under direct supervision, the Accountant 1 is responsible for providing accounting support to the various programs administered by the department as well as statewide cash management and investment operations.  This is the entry-level class in this series.

Under general supervision, is responsible for the performance of monitoring and analytical activities and preparing reports, schedules and other deliverables to meet the needs of the Treasury Department’s internal and external customers, and performing other related work as required.

This position is within the Division of Claims and Risk Management (DCRM), Tennessee Department of Treasury. The division manages funds and related activities including state employee workers’ compensation (WC), liability claims filed against the State, Criminal Injuries Compensation (CIC), Sexual Assault Forensic Examination (SAFE) reimbursement, Electronic Monitoring Indigency Fund (EMIF) reimbursement, and various risk management and insurance coverage activities on behalf of the State and in coordination with its agencies.

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure solutions. The role involves ensuring the availability, scalability, and security of cloud services, with a focus on automation, performance, and compliance. This position supports a hybrid cloud environment and works closely with cross-functional teams, including Architecture & Engineering, Security, and Operations to ensure smooth operations and secure infrastructure.

The Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer at the Tennessee Department of Treasury is a critical role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable IT infrastructure to support the department’s financial systems. By automating processes, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, the DevOps Engineer enhances system reliability and operational efficiency.

This position is within the Division of Claims and Risk Management, Tennessee Department of Treasury. The Platform Administrator performs essential administration tasks for server, storage, and network infrastructure using configuration management tools. This role evaluates and recommends standards for cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments, executes basic to intermediate administration tasks, and collaborates on project teams to support organizational IT objectives.

The Principal Application Architect reports directly to the Assistant Director of Architecture and Engineering and is responsible for all aspects of the application architecture for the Tennessee State Treasury’s suite of applications. This role will lead the development and execution of a strategy to achieve common application architectures, modern development methodologies, and robust application portfolio management.

Under general supervision, the Scrum Master leads the Agile process for one or more Scrum teams, ensuring predictable delivery of software releases within scope. This position is also responsible for the ongoing development of the team within the Agile framework and continuous improvement of development processes, product quality, and quantity of work delivered.

The individual in this position will perform tasks to review and decide whether acceptance is appropriate on claims filed by citizens, employees of the State, as well as requests filed by service providers for these programs. This position will address claims of a more complex nature than those assigned to a Claims Examiner 1 or 2.

The Service Counselor 1 position supports the various programs of the division with focus on tasks associated with claims filed for the Tort and Workers Compensation programs, as well as other operational, managerial, and training tasks as needed. This position is within the Division of Claims and Risk Management (DCRM), Tennessee Department of Treasury.

The Service Counselor 2 represents the Department of Treasury by providing prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service. Each call will be answered with a warm and friendly tone that demonstrates willingness to assist, empathy, and concern. This position is responsible for calculating retirement estimates for a defined benefit for TCRS members and providing customer service for TCRS members. At the present time, this position is primarily remote, with occasional required in-person meetings. It is anticipated that the department will regularly utilize its downtown Nashville office on a hybrid schedule in the future. Job location is subject to change at the discretion of the Department. The successful candidate should live in Tennessee and provide sufficient internet connection.
